Despair

Despair

A Story by Tiresias
"

Dis-pair

"
I dont know what this feeling is..
Its like, like im realizing that my heart is becoming calloused
I always feel like im above, beyond, or far too civil for many things

Today, as I looked on the ensemble, I watched them delve into their drunken stupor,
And this communication itself is proof of my dissocation,
of course of the most subtle caliber,
But still i watched on, content wih the pretext of seamless integration,
And observed the women dance.
Dance their dance of desperation, drink their drinks of Ignorance
And act out their hopelessness, but it was what i saw the men
Do that made me realize that I really don't care.

They don't care. We don't care. I don't care...
If they are lost, if they are found, if i go home alone, if i go home coupled:
In the end it was a flitful moment that stained only a second of my time

Drinks are lies, people are spies, women are fungi, and so are guys.
Welcome to the world of sheep, where every grin has edge, and
Every act of kindness a cadaverous gleam.
Welcome to the night scene.
