Crying a River

Crying a River

A Poem by Tiffany Elise
"

Dedicated to my dad. I love you Dad, SO MUCH!! I'm so glad I have you in my life and I don't know what I'd do without you!!

"

Oh Sweet child,

please don't cry,

daddy may be dead,

but momma's alive.

You're daddy's lookin' down,

wishin' you weren't sad,

you might feel weak,

but tears aren't bad!

Oh Sweet Child

I loved your daddy more than life,

I'm also heart-broken,

I was his wife.

You're his daughter,

he watched you grow,

he loved you more than life,

now that, I know.

Six now,

going on seven,

seven now,

seeming eleven.

Your daddy still loves you up in heaven,

now you're sixteen, behind a wheel,

you're still crying out tears,

because your heart never healed.
