Who am I ?

Who am I ?

A Poem by Tom
"

A nature themed poem

"
I am within without, here there and everywhere,
Unseen by naked eye, just as pure thin air
Blow cold north wind that heralds winter snow,
Then beckon at spring lambs, to leap up high and go.
Bring forth the summer sun in most resplendent ray
When green leaf slowly fades, remind swallow to fly away.
Will on the mighty bird to fly free on the wing
Uplift the souls of weary folk, when little children sing
Inspire the spawning salmon not to relent the fight,
Against the raging current, with journey's end in sight.
Returning to that brook, where was its place of birth,
To procreate the seed, then die in happy mirth.
Darwin spoke of theory to figure a solution,
How life formed singularly, the precede of evolution.
But I've been here from time immemorial, before all life began
The plants, the creatures and the ape, he said turned into man
No doubt he was a scholar of much vaunted pedigree,
Though at life's end was heard to say, 'I believe in thee!"
I spur on the ailing chick to break the hard, encasing shell,
Awaken sleeping bear, with spring's sweet, enticing smell
Paint the colour in the flowers that captivate the bee
Aid the tiny acorn to grow into a massive tree.
Which in turn provides a haven and sanctuary,
to many wondrous creatures, that dwell within its canopy.
I encourage new born baby, to cry aloud with zest
As mother draws up lovingly, to nurture from her breast.
With bowler and the batsman, opposed in sporting rivalry
Who later sit together and enjoy each other's camaraderie
I march with gallant soldier, to answer his country's call
And serenely he shall walk with me, if in battle he should fall.
Many acclaim me as the Creator, or other names of merit,
Though people often refer to me, as Mother Nature's eternal Spirit !

A much older write from the past which I reckoned needed airbrushed and put back on display once more?

Remind us who we are by what we love. Show us a flower petal or blue jay, stars and velvet darkness, The list is long of what inspires. you inspired me for sure. "uplift the souls of weary folk when little children sing." So pretty! Bless you for encouraging me. Kathy

Thank you Sir! 😊
A scholar of most wanted Pedigree, but in the end was heard to say, “I believe in Thee”. A delicate reverence of life as it unfolds where nature abides and we survive. We are beholding to you, Tom... you are a most gentile and brilliant poet. truly, Pat

Exactly my dear friend!!!
I happened to run across this stunning poem this morning and it filled a much needed space. Sometimes in this life we need to be reminded that we are not in control and that the Creator who made us knows our needs and answers to them in His own divine time. Simply beautiful.

Thank you Marilyn for your welcome visit and fine compliments!
i may not be totally inclined towards religion
but awareness of spirituality and a presence of a higher mighty Being comes from the heart. not the mind. you sense the presence and you feel it
you can also visualize it. I believe in higher being
there, omnipresent, maintaining the beauties of the world as you poetically described in the list of natures aspects being bloomed with His help.
this was beautiful !!!

I could have sworn I had reviewed this ages ago, but it seems I was wrong, so here goes.As far as your poems go Tom, this is another classic that one can loose there self in for a while. Oh' and if I had any grandchildren, Tom you would be the poet I would introduce them to for so many reasons...
