Now this is something...These are my favorite kind of poems to read. Short, sounds like a verse in a song, and tells a story we can all relate to.

This made me think of an astronaut, un-tethered and free floating in space. He looks around at the vast spectacles of space in awe of its glistening ore, but then he looks down at the luscious Earth below his feet and see's a parasitic mob just gouging the hell out of it.

Earth is precious, save it.
Earth has been sold to walk on the moon. And the ones who sold it are now digging their graves by targeting the sun and by searching the life in other stars.

That's a powerful image 'digging their graves' - and oh so true.
A chinese saying (which was more of a curse) was 'May you live in interesting times.'

I really like this poem. We have so much to be thankful for and yet...

I'm afraid I was having a little fun at my reader's expense there Papaya. I mess words around at times. The Author's notes example is - "What you think of the dialogue?" which I thought read like daleks - so dialeks was born. I guess a dialek might be words that can exterminate. (I'm weird I know, sorry).
As a mum the main source of your worry is obvious. "What are we leaving the children and their children."
