It Is Time

I think it is time. 

Never will you love me the way I love you. 

Never will you look at me the way I look at you. 

A look that screams, 

I love you. 

Yes you kiss me. 

But your kiss says I want you. 

Not I love you. 

So it is time for me to let go of you. 

No I am not abandoning you. 

No I am not leaving your side. 

For I could never do that to you. 

I simply letting go of this love. 

This love that will never be returned. 

This love that keeps me from giving my hearts to others. 

For so many years this love that I hold for you has help me back. 

But no more. 

So today I let go. 

For it is time that I let go of you. 

You will forever hold a piece of my heart in your hands.

I will never forget us.

But it is time to let go. 

Goodbye. 

My first love.
