Brutal

Brutal

A Poem by Dahlia Phoenix

Crude executions
Sucking the truth from tongue
Brain dysfunctions in dire moment

Savage attacks
Psychological tirades
Bleeding fingers scratching at the surface

Neurotic distortions
Shouting at the top of one's lungs
Graphic hallucinations from the peripheral eye

Oppression to others
Ignoring the dilemma
A sphere of nothing but injustices
Inhumane absurdities

Uncleaned scars
Black bruises
Torn tendons
Tainted minds

Believing is one thing
Brutality is another
Questions are asked
No answers to respond to

Combine these terms into one poetic stance:

There is no humanity left.

I like the directness of this poem. Sometime it feel like the world is cold and heartless. But if you research. Regular people donate time and money to charities. More then the budget of war. Where I live. Some places receive 5 million a month from business and public donation to feed the hunger and the homeless. Government don't have budget for people. War consumed $1.2 trillion of USA Government budget. So good people with big hearts had to take over. Thank you for the powerful poem. We need to get pissed off and demand the waste on war to be stop. Create jobs and hope instead of death and misery.

Ohh dear how i felt always like this..
its the same and never stopping hurt everyday
and you ask why,say ,its a small world ,should be lots easier
to live ,yet its proving so hard ,all the things you said..all would say
its just why ,i never knew,do people have different perceptions that they dont see
or is it just me ,like always on the side ,looking and wondering ,mouth wide open..whats all this
the world for sure has gone mad..i always knew this..

I think you woke up on the wrong side of the bed, or maybe that's the right side. Sometimes we just have to pop off the cap and let these things out. But how many times can we do that before the black bruises congeal together into a clot? Questions are asked....and answers are needed.

I love reading this out loud. Think I'll read it again.

A wonderful piece that approaches the chaos and atrocities that go on here in our world. The things man fails to do, and those just as bad that he is capable of doing.
