Life Saving Melody

This is a poem that describes the beauty and power of music.

The words of a song,

Speak to me softly, 

As my pain fades away, 

It's a miracle within.

Hearing words in a song, 

That mean something to the soul,

It's my freedom from reality, 

A taste of what life could be.

When I close my close my eyes, 

The melody embraces me, 

The words speak to me, 

Letting me know there is hope.

Who ever knew, 

Music could save a life, 

Oh, how amazing it is, 

That music is always there, when nothing else is.

I agree with your poetry. Music is a very important part of our life. I use music to make me write. I like the old songs too. Take me back to days of youth. No weakness in the excellent poetry.

The music is part of your reality I believe, and is part of your life, its just the healing part. I feel the same though as if music is a great escape and a place to dwell without reality. This all strikes me as something I do daily and I am glad to see another who shares it. Someone who writes and gives music its' rightful credit.
