Smoke and Ashes

Smoke and Ashes

A Poem by TrimarcoRansome
"

Muse on the beauty and dangers of fire

"
Frolicking against dark mooned sky
Enchanted dreaming within its trance
Captured flickering maiden dance
Beautiful charade veils the evil facade
Vulcan dances upon ashes in lust
Furnace twisted castings of hell unjust
Beauty in brimstone
When flames thrust

Thank you!
Fire can have much beauty to it and much danger at the same time. To me it seemed you described the fire as dancing in the smoke and ash. You had clever word choice kid. "Beautiful charade veils the evil facade", clever and lovely.

My Dear Writing Friend From Across The Pond,
You take your reader and place them under that sky as they watch this dance unfold. I had to look up two words, they being “charade” and “Vulcan”. Both are listed below. Well written, I could smell the coals.

Blessings, Your BillBear

charade | sh əˈrād|
noun
an absurd pretense intended to create a pleasant or respectable appearance : talk of unity was nothing more than a charade.
• ( charades) a game in which players guess a word or phrase from pantomimed clues.
ORIGIN late 18th cent.: from French, from modern Provençal charrado ‘conversation,’ from charra ‘chatter,’ perhaps of imitative origin.

Vulcan |ˈvəlkən| Roman Mythology
the god of fire. Greek equivalent Hephaestus .

You are welcome...:)
there have been countless poems penned about fire. awesome thing is, this one is not trifling and predictable as so many of them are. the wordplay you employ is refreshing and original. the imagery you create is brilliant, and the length of this write is perfect, not overcooked (pun intended) but rounded out in superb fashion. this gets a shelf in my library, dear poet!
