Emotions

Emotions

A Poem by Tripp

Hush little angel, Don’t you cry,

Tears rush down and I don’t know why.

You should know better than me,

And I don’t know why you cannot see.

He leads you on with great stance,

And then leaves you there without a chance.

You sit alone all night and day,

And your emotions never fray.

Your hopes were up and now they’re down,

Leaving you without a sound.

Dry your tears, My little one,

He’s only just another son.

When your tears are dried and gone,

By that time, It will be dawn.

You say you trust, But then he arrives,

Making you feel like you’ve been stabbed with knives.

He says he loves you forever more,

And you’re the one that he adores.

He comes to you and sets you down,

And tells you to remove that frown.

He cheers you up with false hopes,

And prays that you will somehow cope.

He apologizes, Loves you and says goodbye,

As you sit again to cry.

Sweet little angel, Please cheer up,

We can see your tears close up.

Your heart is heavy and your eyes look sad,

I just want you to be glad.

Don’t worry about him, He’ll turn around,

And cheer you up without a sound.
