Mirror Mirror

Mirror Mirror

A Poem by Tripp

Do you see, Can you see?
All the pain you put on me.
Never ever looking back,
With all the different things you lack.
You think that everything is fine,
But you never let me shine.
Why do I have to sit and wait,
While you're out like some kind of bait?
All the thoughts that slowly sink,
As I’m pushed off of the brink.
I never know what to do,
And all my thoughts will do is spew.
I fall and cry like a girl,
In my mind, Everything swirls.
Is what I’m doing lately right?
Or is my goal just way too bright?
Mirror, Mirror on the wall,
Who’s the fairest one of all?
“Not you my dear.” It soon replies.
“There’s nothing you can compromise.”
“Just fall back and let me take control,
And push you in that black hole.
You know that’s what I do best,
And you can feel it in your chest.
That pounding that always hurts you so,
It will only grow real slow.
Soon it’ll get up to your head,
And then you’ll know you’ll soon be dead.”
I guess it’s right, It doesn’t lie,
So I’ll just let time crawl by.
And soon my thoughts will eat me whole,
And then will be the end of my soul.
I wish that you could see,
And I wish it would let me be.

The rhyme and flow is tremendously well, as is the word choice and emotions pouring out. Every last word ripped into me and kept me going. Wondrous and chilling(for the relevance that I can relate to it) write.
