The best way to overcome writer's block...is to write about it :)

Writer's Block

Paralyzed

Palms on my temples

Staring at my paper so long the margin wiggles

It separates itself from the sheet, breaking my pen

and sews my lips shut....sigh....again?

The scribbles blackout my eyes and covers my ears

The ink spills shackle me into my chair, I'm imprisoned here

However I do not feel fear for I've been here countless times

where all my lines & rhymes go when they die

only to be reincarnated

never knowing they turned against the one that made them be

forever repeating history

Yes, really felt the tension in your words and I agree, when in doubt-- write about writing. Not just a way to spur the imaginaiton-- but when posted it is a subject matter all writers can relate to. I have been on forums where the topic was to write about writing-- and it is highly inspiring to read what folks come up with.
