Orchid (Foolish Heart Finale)

The ending of the series

Silence

The darkness sorrounds me.

"Where am I?"

I try to stand up,

pain strikes, I cant move.

 

I feel something...

Like water hitting my body.

Yet, it doesnt feel like water, it feels too warm.

Too warm for it to fit withing this darkness.

　

Against the pain, I stand up on my feet.

The warm liquid starts pouring all around me.

"What is this? I can feel it around me yet why can't I see it?"

 

Suddenly, a blinding light flashes in the distance

and I feel rapid winds start to pick up my aching body.

The rain now storming, the sound of sobbing fills my ears.

"What is going on?!"

I reach out to hang on something, but there was nothing just darkness.

 

Like the vacuum of space, I felt myself thrown towards the light.

The winds throw my body like a pile of leaves.

I see the bright light in the distance,

and felt fear shake through me.

"What is waiting for me there?"

 

I closed my eyes in anxiety and fear.

When I opened them to take a peak where I was,

my eyes grew wide open in shock.

Right beside me she stood, her hand reaching out.

 

The rain and the wind didint seem to affect her.

I tried to reach out and grab her hand.

I manage to get a grasp on her.

But, my hands soaked in liquid slipped off.

I felt myself being distanced from her.

With one last effort, I planted my foot and took a leap of faith.

Reaching out, the edge of my fingertips manged to hold on.

　

I felt a sudden rush,

then things faded away; back into the darkness.

　

I felt a familiar warm splashing on my cheek...

Blinking, I slowly opened my eyes.

She stood over me eyes swollen in tears,

laying next to me in the hospital bed.

 

"Hi"

I said in a weak tone

"You need to stop crying"

She heard me and with river of tears

she squeezed me tightly

as if she just didint want to let go.

Weeks later, we are walking down a familiar memory.

the very field from the very first time we ever met.

My hands wrapped around her, our fingers intertwined.

 

The purple sunrise rose over the horizon,

she stepped in front of me to get a better view.

Down at her feet, I saw a purple orchid.

"Wow! This is beautiful!"

I got down on my knee and picked up the frafile flower.

Turning around she asked "Just what is beautiful?"

Her eyes grew wide,

still on one knee I raised the flower. "Look..."

The vivid purple orchid shined along the beautiful sunrise,

a ring hung around the stem...

 

Once again she cried,

I couldnt help it, I cried along with her.

But this time...

We cried for a different reason...
