But that's what you doA Poem by TrubenA rebellious love
I wear your name around this thought,
its rebellious warmth amidst the frost. Your gleaming eyes the summer brought Springing life around the lost. But that's what you do. You shine and sear. You melt my fear. That's what you do. You walk a precious rhyme And time itself comes undone. You reach into the rime Because you thought it fun. But that's what you do. You laugh and swear. You make me share. That's what you do. I kiss your lips To test reality And catch a glimpse Into infinity. But that's what you do. Only what you can do. © 2016 Truben |
