In The Mirror

In The Mirror

A Poem by Olivia Knightmare
"

It sees who you really are

"
I can see the pain you try to hide
I don't believe the smile I'm seeing
Dry the water from the tears you've cried
Cover the scars I see on your wrist
Hide the depression I see in your eyes
Put on the mask and a veil of mist
Keep your head low and hope no one sees
Don't let them discover your true pain
Stand, don't let them push you to your knees
Only I know of your agony
They don't know or understand your hurt
I'm here to show you what your feeling
You look into me everyday
I see your true self in this mirror
I see right past your masquerade
I hold all of your secrets inside
The ones that nobody else will know
The secrets your trying so hard to hide
I'm a reflection of who you are
I'm the mirror hanging on your wall
I see past your skin and into your soul
