Oh, The Hug

Oh, The Hug

A Poem by Twisted Words

And who am I
This face you see
Spark of eye
Warm breath on cheek
I am tomorrow's memory

A heart that beats
Against your chest
Gliding lips
Flesh which slides
Across awaiting, naked breast

You feel the touch
Of what can't be
Love scene played
As if a dream
Though when awake, you shall not see

My eyes so real
You think they're yours'
Heart so red
Skin tight on curves
Moving closer as desire stirs

But hands that reach
Shall just pass through
Frustrated grasps
Am I really here?
I can't be held nor healed by you

And, oh the hug!
I loved it most
To be felt for a moment
As if I weren't
Only a heart, locked in this ghost
