The eye of power.

The eye of power.

A Poem by Ryan Falzon - Tymon
"

Another poem about the sun and the moon. Such fascinating things aren't they?

"
I look above, and cower.
Seeing the eye of power.
The creature of a million years.
Bringing the greatest beasts to tears.

It's mane is flaming bright.
Yet also hidden out of  sight.
It's eye spreads far and wide.
Turning blind to summon tides.

It can see through every secret.
When the flames dance around it.
Yet it ignores when seen at the lake,
the sinful actions unseen in it's wake.

A heart darker then the foulest spirit.
Yet we have no reason to even fear it.
For it also has a heart of a golden fleece.
From which radiates love and peace.

This is the creature we all live under.
It protects us and is our nature mother.
If you cannot see it, then open your eyes.
And look up, up at the massive skies.

Author's Note

Ryan Falzon - Tymon
This poem describes the sun and the moon. This time, the poem speaks as if both of them are the eyes of two sides of a single creature which is looking after us.
