A Poem by Ubiquitous

There’s brilliance on the tip of my tongue

But I can never reach it

The further I search,

The more it evades me

The last puzzle piece,

The missing link

The last line that,

Without fail,

Escapes me

There’s brilliance on the tip of my tongue

I need to learn not to swallow it

Sounds like a case of writer's block, oh, just the thought of swallowing that last line and having it escape for all of eternity is enough to make a poet cry...nicely pen'd.

I need to learn not to swallow it .

That's just awesome, for lack of a better word. A creative way to express the efforts in writing poetry. Very well put Raegina. Was just browsing through the writers online looking for something new and of course the pen name and picture jumped out at me. I will have to go back and check out some more of your work.

I like this, How true it is for a poet to "swallow" The ending line. The word choices are lovely. Very well put together.
