None

Nothing remains.

None. 

There is no sun. 

No kids having fun.

Nothing, seems as glum.

No dogs or cats around to run.

Just darkness, only in a slum.

The grass was once so green.

The flowers once stood so keen.

The air, swift, cool, and blew clean.

The sky was deep, and everyone seen.

The people lived here, without their needs. 

Nothing stands here, just rock, and dust from sand.

None to speak, to talk, give thanks, or even shake a hand.

No life has been here for years, no fears, tears, or dry land. 

Not one flower, tree, or even a bird to chirp or tweet so grand.

Like visiting a grave, that's how I see it.
This is how I imagine Hoheneim felt, going back to Xerxes' rubble, where his home used to stand.
Or even if there were a survivor from Pompei. I imagine they'd relate to this piece, so much imagination.

The imagery is excellent, makes me appreciate what we do have and also brings out the deeper emotions out , in short i loved it and think its one of my favorites yet!
