A Poem by ~Unashamed Love~

Handcuffed like a criminal,

You pulled me down and left me there.

Hungry like a cannibal,

And in the end I just don’t care.

Truth is, I don’t belong here

And I can’t seem to catch my breath

There’s a vanishing frontier

Between my life and my death.

The bad in me is all you see

And I have proved you right so far

But you can never destroy me

For I’ve already lost the war...

Very good poem. The constant flow holds the piece together very well, and each stanza is just as strong as the others. The opening stanza is very engaging and definitely draws the reader in. Overall a great poem.
