The Time, The Moment

The Time, The Moment

A Poem by Underestimated

The Time, The Moment

You’ve waited so long for this

You’ve worked so hard for this

It is the time, the moment

When perfection is acquired

When the wish you’ve wished the most

Will come true

You’ve kissed her when she pleaded for it

Held her tight when she needed you

Been true when she wasn’t

Loved when she didn’t love

Made her yours

And now it is the time, the moment

When you’ve finished the puzzle

And you now see the finished creation

A painting that is finished,

Dried and prepared to be exhibited

When the game has been won

And you are the champion

You are sure this is true love

Something no one can ruin or destroy

But at the time, the moment

When you ask her

The puzzle is missing a vital piece

The painting is still being formed

The game is lost

I know it's depressing...but I feel it so much.

i can say that the first paragraph spoke to me. the trepidation for the need of an event- anything- to be perfect. the flow of the poem is good, the emotions strong. very nice.

I can certainly feel the emotion in this piece. Another good poem.
