princess. selfie.

princess. selfie.

A Poem by Ed
"

my response to selfie culture and snapchat

"

see those eyes
see a photo of someone who's alive
heart strengthens as it feels an ache
the beauty that was going to be

will I ever see the day
settling for a piece of plastic manican?
since thats what I thought men see you as,
In many ways,  its best you shouldn't remain a photo of someone or movies

that I'll never have as I prefer to live that chance.
what it is to see you, alive and breathing. a woman. friend. princess.

or an empty space in your selfie where she could be.

to think its me, a photo that might never see the day of beauty, never knowing what it is like to be alive next to you breathing.
