Dark Skies

Dark Skies

A Poem by Uranus

the cold rain is embracing my body -
licking my eyes and running with my tears,
now my eyes are blurry;
it's kissing my lips, reminding me of all your lies:
you said "it's okay, it's fine,
i'm here, everything's alright"

but you lied

you left me all alone
with nothing to hold on

i'm mad at you

but i love you

will you help me?

the cold wind is brushing through my body down to my soul;
i heard it say:
"let me take you far,
help you forget them all"
how could i resist the call?
when its voice sounds sweeter
than the words from you mouth
which to my ears taste bitter?

i'm really mad at you

but i love you

please...help me

down the bridge is the dark sea -
calling, inviting, tempting me
saying:
"let your hands lose
nothing more to hold on for
time for you to choose"

one last time, i raise my eyes to the dark sky

i'm not mad at you

and i love you

i will close my eyes

but i guess you will not come to help me

my arms are wide open

now see me fly

A last hope plea. I hope not, there's plenty more fish in the sea! Poetry allows one to express feelings, and I can feel the anguish in this poem. Thank you for sharing.
