TRAGIC QUEEN (ACROSTIC)

TRAGIC QUEEN (ACROSTIC)

A Poem by ;

Today was the day we were to be married

Right here in our own backyard

After sunset when the night was young

Guess you thought it was a game

Interrupting our service with your drunken slur

Can a wife kill her husband without remorse?

Quiet as a cat did I sneak to your room

Unity means nothing to me now

Ever so slightly did I lift the knife

Everywhere there was blood

Nothing felt as good as that

Ive never read anything like this before. Its wonderful because I can really see this whole scene playing out in my head. I like how you had the capitialized letters spell out the name of the peice.
Great job, keep it up.

Tragic indeed. I love the line: 'After sunset when the night was young'.
Nothing is more deadly than a woman scorned and I am glad I don't drink.

Is this a warning for men not to get drunk on their wedding night, or else?! lol
I liked the tormented imagery. As it almost seemed in the end the wife to be enjoyed being sprayed with the blood of the husband to be.
Totaly dark and strong!
I liked it!
