Numb

I go through this world

looking at everything

yet I see nothing

 

I can't feel emotion

I can't see

I can't be funtional

 

I go through life

lifeless,

like a sock monkey

 

Love has no affect

nor does the loss of a loved one

I can't feel a thing

 

People they cry

and they laugh

I stare

 

Numbness is dangerous

Numbness is difficult

Numbness is misunderstood

Author's Note

Ignore Grammer and Spelling. I thought of this because I went through a time in my life where I felt nothing. I was just a sock monkey, lifeless and unemotional. Also I recently got hooked on "The Glee Project" and my favorite singer, Damian McGinty is a person who is numb, just like I was. This is to anyone out there who feels like they are just there. You're not alone <3

Its funny you know, how people sometimes wish for the things you wish to get rid of. I wish i could feel tht numbness, just for a while you know. Emotions can be a hell of a thing...a burden even. the numberness can be a much welcome, temporary release. good write
