Dreamers

Dreamers

A Poem by Closed
"

When I dream of words and such...

"
As I lie
awake

under a
restless

sky,
letting go

of all my
logic

and I
breathe

in scents
of

blooms,
gracing

my
trachea,

pleasant
and

impossible.

What breath
have you

drawn from
me

and fed to
wonder

as I lift my
sight to

your
noisy

speech,
you stole

the words
from my

sleepless
eyes,

drowsing
in a poppy

field, those
naive

dreamers,
extolled

by the wind
and sung

to a halcyon
coma.

Free Verse. Might add to it although unsure. Note: unusual use of the word feed as in fed to wonder.

My pleasure!
Such is the incomparable sweetness of life, Nature, and sensations of mental, emotional, and spiritual feeling, that an openly free and receptive heart can enjoy their more ethereal wonders in full, and your word painting's taken me to that wondrous place, Vanessa.
Yes, how enthralling it is to see it, experience all that it is, having it sing back into the core of our beings by the wind as it lulls and sings us into a bliss-filled, halcyon state of deep fulfillment!
One could even envision one lover thus captivated by the dreamy thoughts; perhaps, the presence of another.

Whatsoever your intent, I love the thoughts and feelings of pleasure and contentment it gifts me … thank you ever-so warmly, Vanessa! ⁓ Richard : )

Felt quite right ;)
It's a pretty piece of writing, but the format threw me off a little bit. I had to look up the word "halcyon"; added a new word to my vocabulary! It made me think of laying in a field watching clouds actually, just kind of daydreaming. Recalling the halcyon days of old ;)

This has a hallucigenic quality to it. Drowsy, dreamlike, and difficult to fit in a box. Reminds me of Brooke Shaden's surrealistic photography.
Very nice, Vanessa. Keep it up!

Best,
M.

Nice poem. I really liked these lines, very imaginative and full of feeling;

"What breath
have you

drawn from
me

and fed to
wonder"
Keep up the great work!

Thank you, that's an awesome review. I appreciate.
'pleasant and impossible" sounds like paradise to me; poetic elegance and eloquence throughout for sure, but can I ever be sure when you guide us towards a halcyon coma?
