    "Ghost Story"

 

Just a ghost story, from out of your past,

One of love and heartbreak, that did not last.

Yet it returns to haunt you...time after time;

Bringing bad memories...that stir up the mind.

 

A ghost that returns, in the darkness of night;

Turning sweet dreams...into screams of fright.

Or...he calls you...on your... telephone;

A brand new number...yet he won't leave you alone.

 

Try a new love...begin to mend your heart,

Old ghost reappears...begging for one more start.

Then like a fool...you open the door again;

Pain returns...plus all the hurts you have tried to ban.

 

He is just a ghost...his love is not real,

He comes to destroy...for ghosts cannot feel.

Any good he tries to form, inside of your soul;

Shatters and breaks...the old ghost is not whole.

 

To slay the ghost...you must open your heart;

Plant positive seed so new growth has a start.

Convince yourself...that old ghost are not real;

Lock the ghost out...so he has no more chances to steal'

 

Paint the ghost black...remove him from your mind.

True love brings peace and joy for you to find.

Keep looking forward, to go back...only brings pain;

With no ghost to scare you...learn to live once again.

Just like the last review of angels, those ghosts oppose angels appearing when most needed and haunt the mind when needed least. They can be forgotten, but oh, how they persist. Positivity is the amulet that will defeat them. Wonderful words.
