"Me"

"Me"

A Poem by Valentine

   "Me"

No one knows, or ever sees.
The inner parts of what is me.
So adapt at covering yesterday...
All that is shown...is today.

No one knows...what is hidden inside,
The locked cells where thought abides.
Whats in the past is never shown;
Buried in black...it remains unknown.

Yet...everdays thoughts...return to mind;
Returning to agonize...with tortures...unkind.

Beautifully sad - I just recently started revealing my inner demons to the people who are closest to me. I have so many closets full of skeletons and regret and they have been haunting me my entire life. The more feelings that i divulge, the lighter i feel. However, I still cry once in a while knowing that those thoughts will remain - just when I think that they have disappeared they sneak back into my soul. They must have just been hiding! This poem reminds me of how I feel. I really, really wish you the best and a peaceful way to put your torture to rest

I like your poem. "No one knows...what is hidden inside,' Sometimes better if kept in secrecy . Good job

Agonize and Tortures That puts a bad taste in my mouth. Its bitter sweet talk about me from what is the inside where the heart mind and soul dwell and blurt out these wonderful words of poetry that we read and heard. Making our eyes blink and brains think as we question our souls? No other question could be so bold.

I agree. No-one know my hidden needs and want. Funny how we can disappear and be forgotten. It is okay with me. Good to be left to think and write. I see you my Poet Friend. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

this is so relatable. we all have a secret corner we want no one to invade. but better not dwell too long there. I like the way you penned this.
it was clearly born of a hurt soul.

And it is because those thoughts return to you, time and time again, that you are able to resolve them creatively, in beautiful verses such as this, and offer solace to others, who might otherwise have feared themselves alone. Well said! Mark

I put on a hundred different faces every day . . . no one really needs to see that other stuff, do they?

I found this to be a thoughtful, emotional write :)
