Dangling by a Thought

Dangling by a Thought

A Poem by Emily Jellybean :)

Eyes empty with a colorful lack
Soul darker than that of a raven's back
Sinking feeling in my gut
My thoughts in a rut
No love here
No love there
Is there love anywhere?
Is there kindness?
Or are people just mindless?
Where is the hope?
Where is the future?
Feet barely brushing against the edge
Quivering throat tightly choked by a rope
The future is near, and it's ironically full of humor
The darkness I so painfully sought to end is unforgiving
It's getting closer and quickly dimming
Toes slip
One last breath escapes past my trembling lips
Blue eyes that once shined with a golden light
Now empty with no trace of delight
