beautiful broken eyes

I see the world awaiting me. 
I see the universe in my very eyes. 
I see the deep blue sea. 
I see dark shadows. 
I see a little girl with so much to live for but so little to wrap her arms around and call her own. 
I see her saddened soul inside her blue crystal eyes. 
I see a broken heart, 
Mended by little lies. 
All behind her beautiful, 
but broken eyes.

I do believe that the eyes are the window to the soul. This poem expresses just that. If you look at someones eye close enough you can tell if they are truly happy or just pretending to be. Great write.
