The Phoenix

The Phoenix

A Poem by Emily Jellybean :)

The Phoenix walks the Earth
From death, to rebirth

He leaves in a pile of ash
And returns in a bright flash

He is cursed with the gift of eternal breathing.
His quick, short, painful deaths are always non-succeeding.

The Phoenix walks the Earth
From death to rebirth

But, he would NEVER complain,
Because a life in vain is a life in pain.

I immediately thought of beautiful Fawkes... You've given us a dreamish work that conveys not only an ancient image, but a vision of courage... living and dying.. rising again. In light and shadows, life transcends the wonders of the world.
