Love

It’s when you can’t fall asleep at night

Because that one person just won’t leave your mind

It’s when your stomach start to get butterflies,

And you just can’t do anything to stop it.

It’s when you find yourself staring at them

Over and over again,

Because a glimpse is just not enough.

It’s when their voice snaps you out of your thoughts

Because you just have to hear whatever they’ll say.

It’s when their laugh becomes a melody,

Played in your head throughout the day.

It’s when you start grinning like an idiot,

Whenever they say something sweet.

It’s when they start to hurt you,

And you cry yourself to sleep.

It’s when they ask for forgiveness,

And you smile and say, “It’s okay.”

Simply because you still want them in your life.

And it’s when they’re still on your mind,

Even long after they’ve gone.

This is so awesome. I can relate to almost all the things you wrote. Its a really great poem about being in love. Great job. I really enjoyed it. Great idea describing laughter as a melody. Though I'm sure I've heard that around before. Awesome poem. Really shows the feeling.
