You Are Deceived

You Are Deceived

A Poem by VassD
"

Mirrors and outsiders never really know the whole truth, do they?

"

The person who you see before you

Is

Not

Me

The image, silent or otherwise

Is

A

Lie

I am not here, held captive by this body

And by

Your

Mind

You do not own me. You

Do

Not

See me

Do not presume to know

What you

Do

Not

No one really knows me, most

Certainly

Not

You

My life is mine, my soul is mine

You

Don’t

Matter
