DisIllusioned

A Poem by VassD
"

Tell me again what's so wrong with being idealistic.

"

You tell me… I’m an innocent

You tell me… that will change

You tell me… I’m over rated

Here’s where I tell you something strange

What if I don’t care?

What if I want to be like this?

If I like to be idealistic and naïve?

In my own little way I’m happier than you

So much more than you’ll ever see

You say… You’re going to change me

You say… your ways are the best

You say…That nothing will ever go right for me

Calm down. I’ll say the rest.

What if you’re WRONG?

What if I like the innocent truth?

If my heard sees through angels eyes?

In my own glorious way, I’m happier than you

Yes, more than you’ll ever realize.
