The snow melts

The snow melts

A Poem by Vatsal Rohilla (account shifted)
"

A free-verse poem.

"
Grasp the soft snow sweetly in your hand,
the chilled hand becomes a wetland
as the snow melts.

Snow can be moulded into a snowman or an igloo,
but they, like one's life, come to an end too
for the snow melts.

Even the sturdiest of things becomes feeble one day,
all what commences gradually fades away,
gradually, like the snow melts.

Old snow melts and is replaced by new,
likewise there comes someone new,
when someone bids adieu.

In life there are endings and new beginnings. And how I wish I've seen a winter when the snow is falling, though I've wrote a poem set in winter, I still want to go and see one... I wonder when would that be. Anyway, this review is not about me but your poem, your poem that is a beauty... it's rather true in every aspect of our lives that "Even the sturdiest of things becomes feeble one day, all what commences gradually fades away..." -olive.

Thanks for your review and words of commendation.
A beautiful poem and it could not be more true. You start of by grasping snow in your hand but very soon it melts. This is so true for all of us.
In this beautiful poem you have reminded man about how feeble he is going to be. Before we realize it the spring of life will have made way for autumn.
In conclusion, you have said that some one new comes in your life when someone bids adieu. I don't think I agree with this line but that is just my opinion. i feel that some people can never be replaced.

i feel like my father is like a once strong snowman---but he is gradually melting---

in the winter of his life---but the comfort is remembering the strength...beautiful poem.
