The Thin Line

Daily struggles Current Lifestyle VS Christian Lifestyle. Present VS Future Current me VS Ideal me.

her eyes darkened by the nights

the days too bright; 

the nights too cold

the days too loud;

the nights lonely as ever

her mind gone with her soul

to a land no one knows

owls and vampires know:

there is no return

skin pale, ribs thickening

mind stable 

mind nothing

mind boring

mind sleeping

in a sleepless sleep

a sleeplessness 

that sleepers sleep through

Inexplicable feeling

walking on a fine line

afraid to step in either direction

the choice is clear

blinders are doing the job

Focusing is out of question

each day a step on either side

each day a struggle

the line is thinner 

time is running out

happiness only comes to those who choose

the choice is simple

simple minded me

complicating everything

living on the wrong side

not wanting to switch

not knowing how

not wanting to give in

to let go

to be free

to break links

to lose futilities

I'm not good with poetry, but I think this is a very poignant description of a personal struggle. I wish I could write like this.

Trust me, this only happens when I'm in a certain place in my mind, this is not something i can write daily.
Maybe one day you'll be in a dark place and you'll find words just coming right off your own pen :)
