Shoes

Shoes

A Poem by Vernika
"

The tiny tale is an extended metaphor. Hope you all enjoy reading it.

"
I have walked the earth long enough to try out many different pairs-
The big ones with fancy buckles,
The peep-toes with floral embellishments,
Sneakers, floaters, wedges, heels,
Creamy colours, laces, sparkles.
There even came days when I stepped into a pair that I saw someone else wearing,
Only to get a shoe bite at the end of the day.
Whatever it was worth,
I at least realised
That I would always be able to walk greater distances
If I wore my own shape and size instead of anything else.

Oh my this was sooo cute
I loved the little descriptions of the shoes
The message here was amazing
You dont need to fit your personality or urself into expectations set by others
Sometimes to achieve great things u just need to be yourself.

Aloha Vernika, A stunning, thoughtful, well crafted little gem. I enjoyed it very much and thought the metaphor was finely laid, with a moral we all need (often). Beautifully done. Izzy

Gorgeous little write about life and discovery. I enjoyed the metaphor of shoes and the moral that it's best to be yourself. Nice one. Thanks for sharing. :)
