The Sounds of Insanity

The Sounds of Insanity

A Poem by Victoria Everly

I can hear you
You're scared aren't you?
You hope that your heartbeat isn't loud
But it is

Rapidly beating
The sound pounding in my mind
You can only run for so long
Didn't you know?

Stifled screams as I cover your mouth
Your fear is like a symphony
Your heart beating in rhythm to the song I hum
Such a beautiful song

I think you can hear it too
You heard the blades song as I grabbed it
Your heartbeat speeds up the song
Soon the song shall end

The voices are indecisive
In my head they try to decide
How shall the song end this time?
Shall you live or die?

I'm impatient you should know
The blade easily slides through the skin
Blood drips, eager to be in this grand orchestra
Your cries are too loud for me to hear it

The beat is slowly and getting quieter
I feel the pulse of despair as I realize the song will end
Your death was such a beautiful song
One last bow as the song fades

I love this. Very well done and i just flows. I also like the concep of life as a song that will eventually fade to an end. Very nice.

You made me worried^_^ i want to live.
NO really that was great, ilike it the movement, the beats & the sounds & the music, and am just imagining how we get closer and closer to the last decision , to the end of the song to the end of a life...Great!!
