Marionette

Marionette

A Poem by Virellius an Fiach
"

Manipulation, abuse, abandonement... I love it.

"

Marionette

Twirling, dancing, Piourette,
a checker-board marionette
dangles from an unseen hand,
heeding each unheard command.
Just a tool,
this checkered fool;
to bring a smile
while all the while
smiling not inside:
an empty heart she hides.
Wood and cloth;
fire and moth...
nothing is forever;
A soul is always severed.
So on she'll dance
a lifeless trance,
'till masters hands grow cold and dry...
... a puppet without strings will die
.

I loved this poem when I first friend it. The theme... is wonderful. The description of the puppet itself its lovely. I really enjoy it when it said "Wood and Cloth; fire and moth..." For some reason it reminds me of a certain someone we know.
