Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by Samantha ~virginpoet

I am
too tired
to hate

I scream
my insanities

Only to hear
them echo back
from the empty void

My fury is depleting
  and has become frail
ashes in a fire long dead

I am drained
of emotion
left with only words

Words scrambled
into an order
I seem fitting
   and by everyone else
they will be ignored

That once blazing fire
burned away all falsities
and scorched betrayal
into honesty

It is all gone
and I am left with
this pathetic poem

Waiting for
someone to read it
