The Bride

The Bride

A Poem by Samantha ~virginpoet
"

Hallmark card idea / poem

"
As a baby
you held me in your arms
and sang me to sleep.

As a child
I skinned my knees
you took me in your arms
and kissed my pain away.

As a teenager
you helped mend
my broken heart.

As a woman
you taught me to be
brave and strong
and to believe in myself.

As a bride
on my wedding day
you walked me down the aisle
and gave me away
with tears in your eyes you said
your the proudest father in the world.

I'm writing you this poem
and sending you this card to say
Ill always be your little girl
and to say your the best father
a girl could have.
