Stardust and Ink

Stardust and Ink

A Poem by Samantha ~virginpoet
"

something short

"
Her lips
soft like
old paper
tastes of
stardust
and ink

I'd kiss her
a thousand
times over
just to savor
the poetry
resting
on her
sweet
mouth

A short and sweet poem. However, there was a lot of deeper meaning within the words. You did a great job of portraying a feeling across this poem as well. Great job.

A really fragile, pretty little piece. The structure feels like a thin glass ornament about to shatter. The first little stanza is great, I'm not so sure about the second though. It seems quite a standard and redundant statement. It doesn't really seem to mean anything, literally or metaphorically. Perhaps you could think of another way to word how the speaker would 'savor her poetry'? Because even metaphorically, poetry on someone's lips is quite an odd image. Poetry of the mind or heart, maybe. That could just be my own opinion. Anyway, great structure and title.

beautiful thoughts dripped down like ink to paper...
once you have tasted of the muse forever will she circulate in your blood!
