Somewhere in time

Somewhere in time

A Poem by ac4st3r

Look back unashamedly at the things of your past

For those are what made you who you are now

Do not destroy the memories of days that have passed

One day you may need reassuring that you really exist

One day you may find that your smile disappears

Those eyes that once burned now glisten with tears

Lost in confusion and sadness and fears

And anger at the dandelion who just sits and jeers

But fight as you might, you soon realise

Things will never be quite as you idealise

You'll feel so far from where you used to be

From where you thought you used to be

You will lose so much along the way

But there is still so much that you can gain

The future is uncertain but one thing remains

Per incendia quod flamma portamus in
