Turn Around

Turn Around

A Poem by ac4st3r

I'm here again

A thousand miles from where I used to be

You gave me a lifetime of promises, filled my world up with dreams

But they've all crumbled down like they weren't meant for me

You spoke my language as if you knew what it meant

I hung on every word

They never meant a single thing to you

The years that were borrowed, you said were wasted

When I see your face, I know you're finally gone

I wish I could make you turn around, look me in the eye

Each time you left, I cried for the time

That I now see was borrowed, it was never mine

I pick up molten pieces of your destruction

So you can't throw them all away

And now if you ever dared to call my name...

I wish I could have made you turn around, just so you could have seen me cry.
