Thief

Thief

A Poem by ac4st3r

Do you do what you do

Because of us, because of you?

I say you do it for you, all for you

You took what was rightfully mine

Your crimes already seemed so bad

And then you really crossed the line

Put before me what is mine

Put before me what is mine

There’d be nothing left for you

If you returned what’s truly mine

You did it for you, all I knew

Was the time had come to defend my plan

But you took advantage of my averted eyes

Before I realised it had even begun

And now I look back and see what you did

Life will never be the same for me

That’s what I grieve, but you, you’ll be fine

But I won’t let anyone tell me you weren’t wrong

Put before me what is mine

Put before me what is mine

There’d be nothing left for you

If you returned what’s truly mine
