July

July

A Poem by ac4st3r

They say it's good, to follow the rules

But in the end, we look like fools

Just look around, there's no one here

No one to cry, no one to cheer

The things we did, to get a chance

Don't seem to earn a second glance

Defy, deny, tell me a lie

Or don't reply, 'cos it's July

We're nowhere near, yet almost there

Look around and swear, oh now, beware

So long ago, someone was near

And we could cry, and we could cheer

Such a space full of frustration

At this time, there's no location

Defy, deny, tell me a lie

What do I do, when it's July?
