Catch Up

Catch Up

A Poem by V. Wayne
"

Thoughts common to us all?

"
Catch up on bills
Never seems enough
Time well spent working
Though solvency seems a dream

Catch up on sleep
Schedules in flux
Mornings or afternoons
Anything but regular

Catch up with family
So much time lost
Vanished into the past
My history monotonous

Catch up - impossible task
Best we can hope for is
Remaining current, knowing
Money, sleep, relationships

Currency for what we've missed

Simple poem, but it gives off a lifetime worth of emotions. I love the repetition, it says a lot about life itself being one big cycle of the same s**t. For what it's worth, I hope you can catch up
