Resurrect

Resurrect

A Poem by Ian Faraway

Join me in the dark abyss
Dominating my mind
Find me, help me
Resurrect me

Be my guiding light
In my darkness
Hold me, love me
Resurrect the good

Warm the cold I feel
Expanding in my heart
Save me, have me
Resurrect what's left

I look outward
To realize there's no one
To love me, hold me
No one

To resurrect me

This is so sad - I have definitely have felt this way - the sad thing is that I've felt that way when I was married - thank god I got out of that relationship.

Love the way this is done. Short, sharp lines full of meaning. Seeking someone to be a savior in desperate moments is something I can relate to, but ultimately I became my own savior. Excellent poem :)
