My Soul

My Soul

A Poem by Ian Faraway
"

Another old poem from the dark days.

"
The darkness swallows me whole
My skin turns pale
My eyelids as heavy as my heart
My mouth is no where close to a smile

The emptiness of my soul
As deep as an Abyss
As empty as the universe
As dark as the night sky

If this puzzle piece
Connected itself to the puzzle
What would happen?
Will I sink deeper?
Or will I find what I went searching for?
Will it be the thing I need?
Will it be true happiness?
