You called it
kids beer and I hid
the candy so you'd shut
up about it

We watched Herbie
the three of us

You put on a show

No, I'm not angry

I'm tired

It takes hundreds of years to kill a cowboy
and a day to kill a cowboy.

This is an interesting piece. I'll be thinking about this today; it's very different. Well done.

I can kind of grip what your getting at, I'm not 100% sure, but only the lines "No I'm not angry / I'm tired" I know exactly what you're talking about (i think), I hate when people aways assume that you're angry about something when really you're either tired or that's just how your face looks when rested. The rest of it is way over my head. None the less it was still fun to read, unpredictable as ever. "It takes hundreds of years to kill a cowboy/ and a day to kill a cowboy.) ?????????

Poem's about a man with young children on an election day
*raised eyebrow, gentle head nod and impressed facial expression*

I feel this will sink in and hit the water table later today Waconda.
Love the 'kids beer' quip - what a put down.

the final couplet is superb.
