The hidden within

The hidden within

A Poem by Wall Hermitt
"

Expression of the solitary individual. You cannot perceive if someone feels solitary by judging on what their demeanor suggests. Sometimes the inner feeling and the outward expression differs.

"
I am as lonesome as a bench in the quiet park,
And as solitary as sodium lamps
In the desolate roads.
I am as concealed
As the unwatched monument,
And silent as a ghost town forgotten.
Like a twilight zone
I’m a stranger to my own self,
As the temperament within me
That yields around company
Is contrary to that which
Harvests upon solitude.
In the eyes of concourse I grow unlonely
Yet in my own eyes I remain aloof.
The smiles and laughter
Are for spectacle and nothing more,
For in my own eyes I'm as
Dreary as an empty bar.

Are you dreary, I felt like you were going to say, they have as little effect on me as if two inhabitants of different planets on different orbits when the orbits passed were trying to shout philosophies at each other, like Thoreau, I see the spirit of this personally as resilient, but then again using the bar as a symbol, I also see the extraneousness again of the bar and the dichotomy of drunk vs not drunk, revolving around which it is possible to base life on, or all happiness.. So a lot to consider here, all your poetry looks good so far, I'm happy to have read every word man.
